Welcome to my new Blog, Here you will find a selection of Cards ive made for Family and friends as well as some Blog challenge entries. Ive been making cards since January 2008 and also enjoy making ATC's and Bookmarks.
This is my entry for Pollycrafts "Fairy" Challenge , I downloaded the image from Chris's Blog and just used for Glitter pens to colour her in, the border was created with Metallic Rubs in Purple and pink and I added glitter Glue to the top, I then Stuck on Beaded Ribbon from Dunelm to the Bottom and decorated with Gems, Coloured in a Peel off, Purple and added to the bottom.
I finally managed to get some crafting done this week and I made 2 cards last night, the first one is a leaving Card for Jenny from CB HQ which I need to post off.. With the Second one I wanted to make it a little different so I used my gorgeous Laura Ashley papers with the Stamp I won in CB Crafty Giveaways I chose the Pink ink as I wanted it to give it some colour I will add a sentiment to it before I post it out to a special friend :)
Chris over at Pollycrafts has some Blog Candy up for grabs, pop over to her site, leave her a message and just add a link to her blog on yours. good luck
Well this was a challenge and a half for me. make a card without using Glue or tape well what a challenge so here was my entry, the base card every element was sewn on. The zigzag paper was attached down the left side with zigzag stitch, then a tacking stitch across the top, the star paper was just attached at the bottom. bit I added some beads down the right side sewn on . I then used braids sewn in place at an angle to house the bookmark and stop it falling out, someone gave me this idea previously on another Card I made so I thought I would try it so I made a simple bookmark with 2 stamped images in Silver and Green and added a poinsettia to the top finished with a braid ribbon.
I made a few cards for July Birthdays they all seem to be floral themed :) but they where quick to make and they all turned out ok in the end.. Thanks the Tiggertastic for the image of the flower which I coloured in oranges this times to tie in the the papers and ribbon on the middle card, I think that image is so versatile it will fit with any colour scheme.. Sarah also sent me the large flower which is on the last card too thanks again hun.
I am hosting the July Card swap at the moment, the First card I made and sent to Heather1981 and the second card I made and sent to Becki, as I needed to make 2 I tried to make them a little different.
I Made this Cute Penny Black Card Last night, I used some Spotty Paper from a Rak I received from KatyJane and a Penny Black image from a Rak given to me by Tiggertastic, I used a piece of green paper from a Paper stack from Tesco's and the remainder I punched out some flowers finished off with a pearl centre.. Thanks Ladies for making my make a nice one with your Raks :)
Hi I'm Karen and I'm 41 now and been married for 7 year's to Mark, both my Husband and I are Carer's for my Mother who has Alzhiemers, so for me the crafting is a great way to release the stress.. I love making cards, and since joining some Forums have started making ATC's and Bookmarks. I am now starting also to get back into Jewellry making, I used to do this many years ago but stopped, now I have a passion for it again.
